User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.2.15) Gecko/20110303 Firefox/3.6.15 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.2.15) Gecko/20110303 Firefox/4RC The apple macbookpro uses an automatic graphics switching -nvidia gpu - battery consuming -intel hd - less battery consuming the firefox 3 does not cause the nvidia gpu to be switched on but firefox 4 causes the gpu to be switched on this is causing my battery to drain out soon making me unable to use it for a long time and also the laptop gets hot overtime Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: just use a macbook pro you will see Actual Results: gpu switched on and the lap gets hot Expected Results: there should have been an optimised software or atleast an option that does not switch on the graphics card its urgent
