Currently mozilla cannot perform any FTP functions except downloading and
uploading of files. The Tranzilla project (tranzilla.mozdev.org) will require
the ability to create directories, delete, rename, and chmod files (and
directories) if it is ever going to work.

i think this bug should be central (for if it isn't already) for all ftp
enhancements required, including composer related.

It is nice to be able to upload files in Mozilla 1.7. But if these files are put
in the wrong directory, we have no way to delete or move them.
Will these features be implemented in the Mozilla Suite?

Does this bug depends on bug 255018 "Implement FTP del, mkdir and rmdir for Nvu"?
From comment 2 there, Darin Fisher seems to want them for all Mozilla based apps.
