User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; rv:2.2a1pre) Gecko/20110325 Firefox/4.2a1pre
Build Identifier:
We are getting some troubles dealing with people that has acceleration enabled and a capable computer, like this:
CPU: Phenom X2 de 3.1ghz
RAM: 4gb
Video chipset: GeForce 470GTX
Drivers: 266.58
SO: Windows 7 64bits Ultimate
We have another user with a 330M reporting "la pantalla en negro y unos instantes después se recuperara, con un mensaje de advertencia del display que decía "El controlador de pantalla nvlddmkm dejó de responder y se recuperó correctamente". --> "the screen went black and after a few moments it got restored, with a warning: "The video controller nvlddmkm stopped working and recovered successfully".
For the 470GTX user, he disabled the acceleration in Firefox prefs and everything works now, the graphics section in about:support is as follows:

This is indicative of a driver bug. We could consider blacklisting it, but I'm pretty sure we'll affect more people negatively than positively. They can send data about the driver crash to NVidia too.

Please elaborate on 'frozen firefox' does the machine get a black screen, and then recover successfully. Or does firefox remain frozen indefinitely.
To be clear, if there's a black screen flicker and then firefox recovers along with the rest of the machine, it's just a driver bug and needs to be reported to ATI. If Firefox remains frozen there's most likely a bug in the driver, and a situation where Firefox should do a better job recovering.

In the last case, Firefox frozen for a few seconds and then started responding to user events, but without any black screen or any screen glitch.
Anyway, ACK, I will ask those questions in the forums. Thanks!
