This is because they have a loading page before the actual gmail window comes up, I guess. So this behavior is actually expected. Still the user experience seems odd in this case in my eyes, especially if you have a Facebook app tab right next to it, which doesn't show this behavior of course. Some user might take the blue shine on the app tab as "oh, i have new mail", just to find that actually they haven't got new mail. There might also be other Pages Maybe this can be fixed through a delay of the listener for titel changes? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Pin Gmail as an App Tab 2.
