Works for me (red or blue car gets animated) with a new clean profile: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:6.0a1) Gecko/20110419 Firefox/6.0a1 But I've played around a little bit with http://www.professormotor.com/v/vspfiles/templates/pm_tpl/images/HomePage/Home_Graphic_Welcome.gif If I view the gif as the link above it animates once. It does not get animated again if I press F5. But if I save the gif to my HDD and open it locally then it gets animated every time I press F5. If I shift-click reload then the animation starts over. I also tested with Chromium: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.16 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/10.0.648.205 Safari/534.16 With Chromium it doesn't matter if I view the gif from the net or locally. Pressing F5 always restarts the animation. ----- Can you reproduce the bug when running in Safe Mode? https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode ...or with a new clean profile? https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic%20Troubleshooting#w_8-make-a-new-profile Which version do you mean with "the older version of the browser"? For reference also see this page: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Animated_images
