Details

From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux 2.2.17-21mdk i686; en-US; 0.7) Gecko/20010105 BuildID: 2001010517 My ISP provides the following proxy for automatic proxy configuration: http://proxy.emirates.net.ae/proxy.pac. This automatic proxy works fine in Netscape but not mozilla. In mozilla I have to use manual http proxy which is also supplied by my ISP : proxy1.emirates.net.ae Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: User have to have an automatic proxy configuration address, and Internet connection have to go through a proxy. In the Edit/advanced/proxies insert the automatic proxy address and try to re-load it and it will not work. Only manual proxy configurations work. Actual Results: Browser could not access the internet. Expected Results: Browser had to auto configure a proxy from the address given in the automatic proxy feild
The document http://www.mozilla.org/docs/netlib/pac.html states near the end: "The URL field [...] is currently ignored till bug 53080 is fixed." *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 53080 ***
