Using 1999051709 on win95, 1999051708 on linux, 1999051709 on mac build 1999051708 the default loction of the cursor is wrong when a New Msg window comes up. It's in the Body should be in the Addressing field To: 1. Launch messenger 2. Click New Msg 3. Notice the cursor is in the Body of the message, it should be in the Addressing field.

Update: Using 1999060708 on Win & linux this bug has changed a little. With this build the cursor doesn't appear at all. The user needs to click on the To: field.

Hmm, is this really true? The focus and typing go into the address field for me, at least on windows.

I'm reopening this... here are results using jul12 m8 builds on all platforms (html and plain text windows): Linux rh 5.2: Compose window launches with one cursor blinking in the body of the compose window. Begin typing without clicking to change focus yields nothing -- no characters are typed in either addressee or body fields. Mac OS 8.51: same results as linux. NT 4.0: Compose window launches showing two cursors flashing, one in addressee line and one in body. Typing focus is actually in addressee line, which is correct, but the two blinking cursors is not correct.

Using 1999100420m10 on win98 and 1999100118m10 on linux this is fixed. However it is not fixed for mac 1999100120M10. I will reopen and make it a Platform Parity.
