User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.0; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0.1

I upgraded to Firefox Version 4 quite recently. Ever since then. Firefox no longer asks to save my tabs, which I find quite annoying. On the plus side, my Hotmail no longer constantly freezes during simulataneous use of MSN, or at all, actually.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Exit Firefox.
2.
3.

Actual Results:
It did not ask to save my tabs.

Expected Results:
I expect Firefox to ask whether or not I want to save my currently open tabs. It makes my Internet browsing a lot easier for me.
Please check your settings:
Tools/Options/General/Startup/ When Firefox starts/Show my windows and tabs from last time
Version: unspecified → 4.0 Branch
We turned that dialog off for Firefox 4.

You can do as Thomas suggested, which will make Firefox always save & restore your tabs.

Alternatively, the default home page has a big button to "Restore Previous Session". There is also a menu entry in the History menu (Firefox button > History > Restore Previous Session).

If you really want that dialog back, you can set a hidden preference to true: browser.showQuitDialog
