On Friday 1/19/01 nightly Win32 Installer build:
Go to the URL, click on USA, then accept, and you should be on Step 2. Click on
"I do not have an alternate email address" or place the cursor inside the
Alternate Email Address box. You get a javascript alert "Object KeyEvent not
defined". Click OK, box keeps coming back, making Moz unusable.

I don´t get that alert box.

Using Mozilla nightly binaries 20010121xx on WinNT, Linux.
Marking WORKSFORME. When I click on the "I do not have another
email address" checkbox, I get no alert box, and no errors
in the JavaScript console. Also no problems if I do this with the
Alternate Email Address box -

However, I wonder if it could have something to do with the
installer process...? My nightlies were obtained without using
the installer.

Adhitya, could you try the site again with a build from 2001-01-21 or later?
If you are having no problem any more, could you mark this bug VERIFIED?
Otherwise, you can reopen it - thanks.

I went back with the 1/21 nightly Win32 installer build on Win98, and had the
same KeyEvent problem. However, I'm not so sure it has to do with the email
checkbox anymore. I clicked the checkbox a couple of times with no problem, but
then I got the error again when I tried to leave the site by typing in the URL
space. Same problem, had to ctrl-alt-del to shut down moz.

A good example is here:
English: http://members.aon.at/housemice/klicke.htm (attaching this one)
 German: http://members.aon.at/housemice/klick.htm

There should be some way to escape from alert boxes popping up again and again.

Is this widespread? Site specific? Compatibility issue (site using IE and

No. Yes. No. See my above (and attached) example.

Since this isn't widespread, and Tom has enough to do as is, minusing and moving
