Open any webpage in a new tab 4. Pan right for tabs panel 5. Tap on about:home tab 6. Pan left to hide tabs panel Expected result: about:home page is repainted correctly . Actual result: After step 6, for several seconds some areas of about:home page are semi transparent. Please see the attached screenshot.
I've noticed the same result if at step 2, you go to about:testharness

Regression from the Cairo update?
(In reply to comment #6) > Regression from the Cairo update? That was my guess too
The following change set is good 20110720181347 https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/503990b2c5c6 The following change set is bad 20110715150747 https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/04e8d0b481bc So the Cairo update is the problem.

jmuizelaar, do you know about this?

Reproducable by simply panning around about:home

I feel like bug 665510 is related or exactly the same issue here
Status: NEW → ASSIGNED
not tracking for 7 at this point, depending on the fix we may uplift

Can folks reproduce this reliably? I've seen it a bit, but nothing reliable.
(In reply to Jeff Muizelaar [:jrmuizel] from comment #13) > Can folks reproduce this reliably? I've seen it a bit, but nothing reliable. Really all you need to do is pan around, (reproducible in Nightly 08/12)
I can also reproduce this by panning around about:home.

When I type something in the AMO search field, a black dash is displayed on the bottom of the input field . I'm able to reproduce it on the latest Nightly build. Is it related to this bug? -- Build id : Mozilla/5.0 (Android;Linux armv7l;rv:8.0a1)Gecko/20110815 Firefox/8.0a1 Fennec/8.0a1 Device: HTC Desire Z OS: Android 2.3.3
It looks like the patch on bug 668921 might fix this.
tracking-fennec: 8+ → 7+
Can anyone still reproduce this since bug 668921 landed?
Appears that the patch for bug 668921 fixed this. Panned around about:home for a few minutes without seeing any painting issue. Tested Aurora and the issue appeared after a short amount of panning.
