However, if one wishes to manage search engines, one will need to re-add the search box to their tool bar and select "Manage Search Engines..." from the box's drop-down menu. One can then remove the search box again. This is obviously a highly unintuitive and inefficient method for managing search engines when the search box is not visible. Bug 335781 is already on schedule for one of the upcoming Firefox releases (definitely past Firefox 7).
