What do you mean by "exported"? upgrading to FF4 doesn't need any special exportation. Do you have a places.sqlite.corrupt file in your profile folder?

Yes, what I'm arguing is that there is no need to import anything, you can install Firefox 4 and it will just reuse the Firefox 3 profile. So I'm asking if you did something different from just this, like a json restore or import from bookmarks.html or such?
