(using http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/e898a773a4fb) I have a (fairly old) sync account. While running through the wizard to reset my key, I hit a JS timeout. I clicked 'continue' and ended up with a working sync registration (at least, as far as I can tell).
