From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux 2.2.16-22 i686; en-US; m18) Gecko/20010130 BuildID: 2001013010 I went to a page with an applet on it. I was prompted to install the java vm. I did so, and recieved the successfull install message. Shut browser down and restarted. Noticed the java plugin was not regestered while the flash plugin was. Returned to page with applet. Was again prompted to install the plug-in. This is a recent problem, within the last 5 days. I know I had a nightly from last week that did not have this problem. However the last 3 nightly builds have had this problem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Try to run applet 2.Install java plugin from Netscape. 3.Try to run applet again. Actual Results: You are again prompted to re-install the plugin. Expected Results: The java plugin should have been found and started. I have only tested on Linux, as that is the only OS I have.
thisi s a dup and belongs to OJI. Will have to find it..

I have the same thing happening to me, even with the latest nightly builds for Win32 (Windows ME). My work-around: 1. Find the Javaconsole folder in C:\Program Files 2. Goto the \bin folder 3. copy all contents from there to the Plugin folder of Mozilla 4. Restart Mozilla.
