Gilles, i might be misunderstanding your steps, but whenever i right-click a link and select Save Link As, i get the Save File dialog, which looks like the native file picker [except it's xul on unix], which is expected behavior. i don't get a Saving File dialog that has only the Cancel button. [i'm using 2001.02.05.xx comm verif bits.]
okay, i grabbed a more recent build [2001.02.07.12 mozilla for linux], and now i see this! it looks like the older Saving File dialog [for download progress], which has only the one Cancel button, is still being used --instead of the newer download progress dialog. i would think that we should be using the new Saving File dialog now, even if the user saves via the context menu or the main menu. if this is the case, methinks it's covered by bug 67216... *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 67216 ***
