Unable to specify command line options to helper apps

Details
When creating a new helper application (mime type), if you specify a comman-line option for the application in the "handled by" dialog, the application will not launch. For example, if you set mime type "audio/m3u" to execute "/usr/bin/xmms -e", upon clicking on such a mime link, the "open using" dialogue appears, but the after clicking "ok", the application does not launch. This feature was available/functional in Netscape 4.x, and would be very useful in mozilla to control the execution of mime applications.
