User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:5.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/5.0 Build ID: 20110615151330 Steps to reproduce: trying to change "junk" settings for "local folders" or any other account fails Actual results: note i do not use IMAP at all - everything goes to the global inbox and is filtered from there issues: #1: for Account Settings > Local Folders > Junk Settings, the checkbox "Move new junk messages too:" is UNchecked, but all the child/sub controls are enabled. if i check it, then uncheck it again, the child controls become disabled as they should be, but the default item for the combo control is not displayed (combo's are blank). when they are enabled, the 2 lower combo controls are also blank (but Local Folders is available when clicked). #2: none of the settings for Account Settings > Local Folders > Junk Settings can be saved #3: Junk settings for individual accounts may or may not be saved - most often not #4 the child controls for the "Move new junk messages too:" checkbox may or may not be disabled for individual accounts when the checkbox is UNchecked. when the checkbox is unchecked and the controls below it are disabled, then the default items are displayed in the combo controls ("Local Folders" and "Junk on Local Folders"). when they are enabled, the combo's are always blank #5 i have (or am trying to anyway) "Junk" disabled for all accounts. when i open Account Settings and click on "Junk Settings" for each account, starting with "Local Folders" at the top, the first few accounts usually have the "Move new junk messages too:" unchecked, but the sub-controls are enabled. sometimes clicking on the 3rd + account will show the controls as disabled, as they should be. it seems that once the controls are disabled for one account, then they will be displayed as disabled for all accounts, as they should when Junk filtering is not enabled. Expected results: settings should be saved when clicking "ok"
forgot to mention that the problem with not being able to save settings is not limited to the Junk settings - it has been an ongoing problem in TB for at least the last several versions (and i've seen it reported here as early as 2007 i believe). usually however, saving a setting and closing the Account Settings, then re-opening Account Settings and re-saving the setting works. i've noticed the issue when first installing TB and just beginning to add accounts
Possibly a duplicate of Bug 546482.
(In reply to sphakka from comment #2) > Possibly a duplicate of Bug 546482. l_paradox_l, do you agree?
I think that too, there seem to be several reports caused by the same underlying problem.
