Details

Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7; rv:8.0a2) Gecko/20110914 Firefox/8.0a2 Cmd+shift+F3 doesn't show previous result in the Find toolbar on MacOS X 10.7 STR: 1.Go to a page where a word you wish to find occurs frequently, such as http://mozilla.org 2.Bring up the Find toolbar and in the textfield enter a common word such as mozilla. 3.Instead of clicking Find Previous, hit Shift+F3/Shift+fn+F3. Actual results: The Shift+fn+F3/Shift+F3 shortcut doesn't show previous result in the Find toolbar. Expected results: The key combination should work.
The keys which are in use here are F3 (forward) and Shift+F3 (backward). So I don't fully understand this report, also because of you are using different keys in the summary and your comment. Can you please clarify?

Hi Henrik. This is part of the litmus tescase 20299 which is unclear broken on Mac OS 10.7 due to the fact that those key combination don't work. I've tried what you said in comment1 and still doesn't work. That is why I've filed this bug.
Please check your keyboard settings if all F_XX keys are handled as standard function keys or if you have to press Fn. The modifier key to revert the search order is Shift.
The F-XX keys are handled as standard keys.
I don't see any problem with a recent 8.0a2 build on a Mac Mini with 10.7 installed. Anthony or Marcia, does one of you have a MBP to test on?

This is WFM (and was WFHenrik), so closing.
