I looked for a dupe but didn't find anyone, so here we go:
For quite some time (or never?) is the keyboard navigation in textfields in the
embedded builds broken. I cannot move to the left/right/up/down with the arrow
keys. Placing the cursor with the mouse works however. This affects the nightly
Winembedded build as well as our embedded browser.
Mmmh, there got to be a bug for this already...
I think this is because winEmbed & mfcEmbed don't use XUL so no there are
defined keyboard accelerators.
If you want to cursor keys to work you have to do something like the gtk widget
does where it loads some XUL as the topmost content loads any URLs into the
primary content docshell inside that. This ensures accelerators work properly.

A comment from binaryC, our main coder in K-Meleon:
Arrow keys work in text boxes until you go to a site with a <textarea> I
think this may be a bug. To duplicate it, go to slashdot.org and play with
the "log in" text boxes, then go to the kmeleon forums, then back to
slashdot. I haven't tested to see if this happens in other embeded
browsers, but I would assume it does.

Sebastian : Do you think http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=71014 is a
dupe of this one?

Yup, that looks definitely like a dupe. However this issue has been longer
around than the current problem in the mozilla build which you describe.
Is there a bug like this for the Linux builds?
I'm using Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux 2.4.1 i686; en-US; 0.8.1) Gecko/20010321
and can't use cursor-keys in text fields.
I looked and couldn't find anything.
