Ever since bug 684450 landed, Read It Later causes my location bar to be bigger than it should be. Stephen Horlander says in bug 684450 comment 22:

This is their bug. Afaik omnibar is already fixed.

Has it been documented? What were they doing wrong?

They were arbitrarily and needlessly setting a CSS class on a node where it makes no sense. Since it never made sense, we don't need to document this.
