Camino version 2.0.9 (1.9.0.19 2011091218). I clicked on a link on www.lemonde.fr . It opened in a new window, thanks to target="_blank" I guess. This is incorrect. I want the link to open in the current tab. I don't want the page to decide where the link opens. *I*, the user, want to decide. And, when I normally click, I want the link to open in the current tab. Please correct that and improve my user experience in Camino. Thanks. Nicolas
You'll have to be more specific. Most if not all links on lemonde.fr open in the same window here. There might be /some/ links that open a new window or new tab depending on your preference settings (Preferences > tabs).
It would also help to know specifically what your settings in the Tabs pref pane are.
Sounds like you want to set browser.link.open_newwindow as described in this item: http://caminobrowser.org/documentation/hiddenprefs/#TweakSWM (it's a hidden option to the "Links that would open new windows" preference in the Tabs preference pane). There are also other bugs on file about improving the experience with various actions around target="_blank" links; searching for bugs related to Cmd-click and new window will find most of them.

Now, from the page www.lemonde.fr/technologies/ , I click on “Big Data” and the link opens in a new tab. (In reply to Smokey Ardisson (back-ish; no bugmail - do not email) from comment #3) > Sounds like you want to set browser.link.open_newwindow as described in this > item: http://caminobrowser.org/documentation/hiddenprefs/#TweakSWM (it's a > hidden option to the "Links that would open new windows" preference in the > Tabs preference pane). I believe I would like some of this tweaking as overt. Here are my tab prefs : http://screencast.com/t/fZFnLQgk Nicolas
> I believe I would like some of this tweaking as overt. If you mean you want full preferences UI for an edge-case option that's known to break web pages, the answer is no.
Blocks: useragent
Blocking a Core bug about adding underlying options for things in core on a bug to expose an existing core option in Camino's UI is 100% meaningless.
