I dualboot on my i7 macbook air. I switched from running nightly builds on OSX to running them on Windows. To my surprise the windows version appears a lot slower when switching tabs. There is visible(100ms?) delay between clicking on a tab and having the contents drawn. There is UI lag elsewhere too, but tab switching is the most obvious one. I'm not sure if it's due to win7 theming, d2d, but it's not jarring.

I filed this as a Thunderbird bug, but the same thing happens on Windows Firefox.

Summary: Slow(Janky) UI on Win7 → Direct2d draws slowly on i7 macbook air
The same card ID is mentioned in Bug 621335. It seems some class of Intel cards is slower with Direct2D than without it in SOME operations.
