When using "javaplugin.so" from JDK1.3 for linux, in plugin/ folder mozilla doesnt load: INTERNAL ERROR on Browser End: Some problem with the version 5 System error?:: Invalid argument

For some reason, xpi files also don't install correctly for me ... (Linux 2.4.2 / glibc 2.2 / slackware 7.2 / Mozilla build ID : 2001022509) Then I also installed the plugin manually. It crashes because it expects the plugin to be a SYMLINK to the .so file in java2/plugin

Reporter, you can't copy the plugin file to the plugins directory, you have to symlink to it. It is indeed a dup of bug 61049
