Details
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; 0.8) Gecko/20010219
BuildID:
If I click on a mail folder other than the current folder, then click on a
message in the headings listing, that message is displayed without any header
panes --- the body of the text is right below the bar separating the messages
table from the message body. (It is not a matter of the panes being closed ---
there is no closed pane control either.)
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
0. Make sure View | Headers is "Normal", not "All"
1. In left folders pane, select a folder other than the currently displayed folder.
(The message pane goes blank, and the messages table shows messages in the folder)
In the top-right messages table, select any message.
(The message is displayed without any heading panes.)
Actual Results: Message body takes up entire lower right pane beneath bar that
separates message table from current message body pane. No headings appear, no
widgets for collapsed headings appear.
Expected Results: Heading panes should appear.
This only happens on the first message selected after a new folder is selected.
Selecting another message, or moving forward and back after the first message,
produces message displayed with normal header panes. Selecting the folder again
also fixes display, as does moving the horizontal bar. (But it's annoying to
people who don't know these workarounds.)
Also occurs as follows: new mail arrives; select folder; click NEXT button.
In this case, moving to another message does *not* make header panes appear.
