I enter "sharepoint" in the address bar and it resolves to "sharepoint/default.aspx". If I copy the url, it copies as "http://sharepoint/default.aspx". I edit the URL, changing "sharepint/default.aspx" to "sharepoint/support/Wiki Pages/". Actual results: I get redirected to a google search for "sharepoint/support/Wiki Pages/". Expected results: I should get sent to "http://sharepoint/support/Wiki Pages/".

You can either enter "sharepoint./support/Wiki Pages/" or "sharepoint/support/Wiki%20Pages/" A space in an URL is invalid and have to be escaped by %20 and you have an incomplete Domain without TLD that can be fixed by a dot.
