steps to reproduce:
1. IMPORTANT: Start a new profile
2. Load https://addons-dev.allizom.org/en-US/firefox/users/login?to=%2Fen-US%2Ffirefox%2F
3. Click on "Sign up using the old form"
actual behavior:
Clicking on "Sign up using the old form" link loads the login form with the recaptcha field and error messages. See screenshot

My STR:
1. Load https://addons-dev.allizom.org/en-US/firefox/users/login?to=%2Fen-US%2Ffirefox%2F
2. Attempt to sign in with BrowserID
3. Attempt will fail, check "Sign in using the old form" to find broken signup screen

**Updated STR**
1. Load https://addons-dev.allizom.org/en-US/firefox/users/login?to=%2Fen-US%2Ffirefox%2F
2. Click on "Sign up using the old form"
3. Click log in without entering any credentials
4. Repeat Step 2.
The behavior can be reproduced by failing the authentication via BrowserID as well.

From what I can tell, the only bug here is that the standard log in form is ugly with the new browserid button taking up half the space. -> potch

There's a little bit of cleanup to be done here, but the new "old sign in" interface doesn't have this issue. I'll put the cleanup in this bug.
