We refer to the store as "App store", "Mozilla Marketplace, "Firefox Market" etc in copy in different places. This bug is to figure out what we want to call the store + change copy all over the store to reflect that decision.

thanks Krupa. I'm deferring to Cbeard here. Chris -- in our messaging doc, we used the term "Market". Are you fine with this? And for now for the Developer Preview should we use the naming structure "Mozilla App Market" until branding is fully baked? We need to refer to it as something for this release. thanks

fwiw, my vote would be to just keep it simple and continue calling it "Firefox Market". That's what we've been using as the work-in-progress name and once branding is baked, we can switch over to whatever the final name is. We can explicitly include in our comms that this name is expected to change.

The official name is Firefox Market. The Developer Preview is App Developer Preview.

Hi Guys -- sorry to be a stickler here late in the game but I really need Chris Beard and/or Kristin to comment on the branding here. Even though we do not have branding fully baked - I think its super important they have input into this temporary name. Chris and Kristin please can you comment asap as not to hold up anything here.

Sorry for jumping in here late. Even thought we aren't fully baked for branding yet we need to be consistent in how we refer to things throughout the site and documentation. Until we have the final brand please use a placeholder name and call it the Marketplace. Thanks.

Yes, please use the generic "Marketplace" to refer to the store during the developer preview. Explicitly this should not read as the "Firefox Market" or "Mozilla Market" but rather a preview as part of the Apps and Add-ons initiatives
