As given in my dupe (bug 712655) I hit this fairly regularly when opening external links without closing Fennec myself before. Browsing around a bit, sometimes it's enough to open about:crashes, crashes Firefox even multiple times in a row. Which also makes it a startup crash for me.

Can we please get any progress on this bug? It's the most annoying crash currently which let me stop using Fennec because it crashes each couple of minutes.

Not sure if it is related to this crash but right now, Fennec has been frozen for a while and caused a reboot of Android.

I believe this and bug 711852 to be the same issue, possibly related to gralloc?

Agreed on the dupe. Not sure about gralloc but this bug does seem to have popped up shortly after gralloc went in, so it's possible.
