Steps to reproduce:

Browsed FaceBook album with 100 pictures. Memory went to 2.1 GB and crashed. Didn't notice mem was so high until too late.  Not 1st time. Have plenty of RAM.

Expected results:

Memory reduction cycle more often. Is there a value to change in about:config.  

I already have image.mem.min_discard_timeout_ms set to 10000 ms.

Solution, due memory reducuce cycles a lot more often !! Or give option to user for automated cycling every 60 secs or less !!
