build id: 1999052517 platforms: windows nt, mac os 8.6 to reproduce: select find on this page from the search menu. on the mac: part of the window (a narrow rectangle at the right hand side) is white - it should be grey on windows: the same area is either black or the window behind it bleeds through.

looks very much like a scrollbar region. not our widget though, reassigning to don. Don, if this turns out to be a generic window problem, please reassign directly to danm.

Hmmmm, that does look like a missing scrollbar. Bill, is this our bug with the XUL or some layout or toolkit problem?
Well, the dialog is just plain .xul stuff; I'm not sure why it doesn't paint properly. I have noticed other similar problems (like windows don't paint till you resize them). We should probably reassign this to the xptoolkit team.

I checked in a fix. I changed the table width to 100%; it was 400px (a fixed width). I don't understand why the way it used to be caused grief, but 100% is fine (the dialog has to fill the whole window).
