File -> Offline -> Work Offline is permanently greyed out. It's impossible to 'unplug' the the icon in the lower left corner. Both works fine in the Navigator window. Best Regards Udo Beckmann

Offline is not yet fully implemented. Master feature tracking bug is bug 15865. Currently followed menu bugs are bug 71125 and bug 71126. There are some other older 6.0 bugs which relate to this problem, but for ease I'm going to mark this a duplicate of 71125/71126. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 71125 ***

this should be fixed at some point, when the UI is hooked up for offline.

fix checked in - there were a couple problems if you didn't have any newsgroups or newsgroups configured for offline use, which I fixed. Note that the offline indicator does not update correctly, but that's a different bug. If you open a new browser window, you'll see that you're offline.

Mail window Menu item and icon are able to switch offline. State not tracking properly from window to window, some cases where indicator and/or menu item display wrong state, but separate bugs have been logged. Verifying this one as of may08-10 commercial trunk builds: linux rh6.2, mac OS 9.0 and win98.
