Details

Currently SeaMonkey stores its user application data (preferences, cache, etc.) in ~/.mozilla/seamonkey (see Bug 393620), thus cluttering the user's home directory with yet another arbitrarily chosen hidden directory. SeaMonkey should instead support the Freedesktop.org XDG Base Directory Specification <http://freedesktop.org/Standards/basedir-spec> under GNU/Linux. Similar requests have already been made for Firefox (Bug 259356) and Thunderbird (Bug 247973 Comment 94).
Depends on: 259356
Won't be done before it is done for Firefox, but it *should* come for free once Firefox is done here.
