jeez, chopped that summary down some. here the old text: "Search:Search Bookmarks/ History:Bookmarks window doesnt have all inclusive search that would search all bookmarks fields at once maybe a field called {All Fields}, Name, URL, Custom Keyword, Description" moving this over to component -> Search although Ben still owns that window I belive. Clearly what we need here is the 'more' and 'fewer' setup so you can have an arbitrary number of these fields in your search (like we have elswhere in the product). I view this as more than a simple enhancement, it's a feature whose absence is a glaring omission.

Just adding a "me too". I think the Search interface in Bookmarks should allow you to match on "meta information" you may have put alongside the actual saved bookmark (i.e. keywords and description). I have a complex bookmark consisting of tonnes of sub-folders - so the sort option is useless to me - unless I go and open every subfolder I have before doing the sort. grep'ping bookmarks.html is quicker ;-)
Confirm this bug on Solaris Neveda Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; SunOS sun4u; en-US; rv:1.8.1.2) Gecko/20070312 Firefox/2.0.0.2 More information: When visit a Chinese website: http://www.baidu.com/ The history will be saved as 百度一下,你就知道. When you want to search 'baidu' in history bar, you will get nothing.

Closing as WORKSFORME as SeaMonkey 2.1b3 Bookmarks and History now use the Places backend and the search fields search on URL, title, and description.
