From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux 2.4.2 i686; en-US; 0.8.1) Gecko/20010319
BuildID: 2001031910

When configuring a local proxy via the local page
http://localhost:8888/Rewrite.html submitting a change will work ok, and the new
page will be shown correctly, but the browser never finishes animating the
mozilla loading gif (the one on the top right.) The progress bar is stuck
half-way and displaying "Resolving host localhost", even though it obviously
already did since the page is already displayed etc...

Scrolling the page will make it realize it finished and instantly stop
indicating it is loading.
You may want to install filterproxy from
http://draal.physics.wisc.edu/FilterProxy/ to test this.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install filterproxy
2. Go to http://localhost:8888/FilterProxy.html to configure it
3. Click on fx the rewrite rule for ".*"

Actual Results: Even though the page obviously finished it only stops loading
when you scroll the page.

Expected Results: World peace.

Might be related to bug 50929 (localhost not always working correctly).
This was not localhost related after all; I just saw it at
http://boudicca.tux.org/hypermail/linux-kernel/2001week12/index.html#522 .

New reproduce recipie:
1) go to http://boudicca.tux.org/hypermail/linux-kernel/2001week12/index.html#522
2) click any link
3) click the back button

observe how the page displays fine, but indicates it is still loading until you
try scrolling.
