Hi there please can you help us add a video to the mozilla.org/apps page? If possible can we add with the 2/28 release to make the most of MWC? Havi will upload the file here later today. For your FYI -- it will look like this: files.me.com/rainercv/u0jhem.mov Thanks for your help.
Assigning to Steven. Assuming Steven can update by Monday morning PT, this should be able to go into next week's release on Tuesday. Thanks Jane!

Steven, I'm unfamiliar with where we host videos/CDN, let me know if this needs any extra help.

It does need to be uploaded to http://videos.mozilla.org/ - something I don't have permissions to do. You can file an IT bug for it - I'm not sure who else has permissions for videos.mozilla.org.

I can help upload the videos. Is the URL in comment 0 the final version? CCing Rainer, when have a final version, can I get it as MP4, webm, ogv please as usual?
Hi Fred -- Leslie is just signing off the video with Havi. We should have an Okay asap this afternoon.
Video is signed off. Havi / Rainer -- can you add the video now? :)
Rainer will get us the videos during the day tomorrow. Steven: In order to unblock you, feel free to place the video HTML code into the templates (if you need files to test with, have at it: http://videos.mozilla.org/serv/flux/), and I'll update with the video URLs as soon as I have uploaded them.
Fred, you are awesome, thanks for helping!
Thanks, Havi! Steven: Please don't serve the files out of the drafts directory though, that'd be confusing. I re-uploaded the files in this directory: http://videos.mozilla.org/serv/flux/apps/ Let me know if you need anything else!
This is done on the stage site: http://www-dev.allizom.org/b/en-US/apps/ Will need a push to production, but we have such a push planned for later today for the B2G site anyhow. They can hopefully happen together.
Looks great! Its fine for this video to go live later today -- however, the update to the CTA in bug 729651 would need to happen tomorrow when the Apps Developer Preview announcement is made and submissions are open. thank you!

IMPORTANT: it appears that the video is NOT playing in Safari browsers. pls prioritize and resolve quickly if possible for MWC - Thanks!
More info for debugging: (thanks to my colleagues) stormy: Plays on Firefox and Chrome [08:44am] stormy: On IE I get a Security Alert. And the video will not play. [08:44am] teoli: Yeah the mp4 flux has a typo on the source code: [08:44am] teoli: <source src="//http://videos-cdn.mozilla.net/serv/flux/apps/marketplace.mp4" type="video/mp4" /> [08:44am] teoli: fx and chrome use the webm flux (or ogv for old Fx)
(In reply to havi hoffman [:havi] from comment #15) > IMPORTANT: it appears that the video is NOT playing in Safari browsers. > > pls prioritize and resolve quickly if possible for MWC - Thanks! Thanks for reporting this, Havi. Raymond, please be sure to double-check Safari in all your video testing. I spun this issue off as bug 731650.
bug 744860 reports the video not going full-screen properly due to the max-width rule.
