User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:11.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/11.0 Build ID: 20120312181643 Steps to reproduce: The default column order is: Sender, Subject, ... I used to change it a bit (with dragdrop): Subject, then Sender, ... Worked fine for long time. Today Thunderbird applied some (auto-)upgrades. Actual results: The column order has been reset to the default (Sender, Subject, ..) Expected results: Nothing (only the upgrade) (the order should be preserved).
Bug 710056 is for loss of column selection change, and it seems to happen when auto-restart by upgrade. Because both of "column selection"(visible:true/false) and "column order"(ordinal:) is saved in .msf file, your problem is perhaps same as that bug.
