i did not like cookie, so i want to reject all cookies from most of the servers,
except those from my "can save cookies" list, but i can not do this without
clicking the the save cookie alert box every time i visit a site.
my setting :
enable all cookies.
warn me before accepting cookies.
P.S. and i am quite confused with the cookie box when i first use it, and i
think the options in the box should be :-
[ ] Accept all cookies
< This portion should be disabled when user selects Deny all cookies
[ ] Accept cookies from "can save cookies" list <selected as default>
[ ] Accept cookies from "cannot save cookies" list
[ ] Accept cookies from originating site only
[ ] Warn me before accepting cookies
>
[ ] Deny all cookies
< This portion should be disabled when user selects Accept all cookies
[ ] Deny cookies from "cannot save cookies" list.
[ ] Deny cookies from "can save cookies" list.
>
and may be the cookie site tab should be renamed to "cookie setting
permissions", and image site tab should be renamed to "image loading
permissions", image site tab should be removed from cookie manager box also.
we should be able to add and modify cookie (and image too) permissions (e.g.
url, can/cannot set cookies etc.)
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Edit|perferences
2.Advanced|Cookies

sorry, [ ] Deny cookies from "cannot save cookies" list. should be selected as
default also ~~~~
The enhancement sounds great, and I agree that the interface is confusing. How
about this:
----- Cookie Policy --------------------------------------------
Cookies are small pieces of data which some web pages store on your
computer. Pages from the same website can read the data.
O Disable cookies
O Enable cookies
O All
O For originating webserver only
O Based on privacy levels [View Privacy Levels]
[ ] Ask me before storing a cookie
[ ] Cookies will be stored for up to
O End of current session
O [90] days
[Storage Permissions] [View Stored Cookies] [More Information]
----------------------------------------------------------------
Except for the "Storage Permissions" buttons, the changes to this
page are only cosmetic (some wording is different, but the meaning is the same).
Second window - opened by clicking "Storage Permissions" button
----- Storage Permissions --------------------------------------
Default Action (for sites not listed in Cookie Sites)
O Store cookies
O Reject cookies
[View Cookie Sites]
----------------------------------------------------------------
The [View Cookie Sites] button would display the information on the "Cookie
Sites" tab of the "View Stored Cookies" window.
For compatibility with the current version, "Store cookies" would be enabled by
default.
Choosing "Reject cookies" would enable the behavior described in the bug
submission: "reject all cookies from most of the servers, except those from my
'can save cookies' list".

I'd like to have it this way:
Cookied:
( ) Disable all
( ) Disable by default
( ) Enable by default
( ) Enable all
Ask before storing a cookie:
( ) Always
( ) Other sites (except originating site)
( ) Never

I agree with additional comment #3 from Matus "Fantomas" Uhlar.
That way it would be simple yet powerful.

There's a free utility on the internet called "Cookies Manager
(http://home.nordnet.fr/~pmdevigne/ )." It only works for IE. When new cookies
arrive, they are put into the 'new' bucket. You have the option of choosing
between leaving them in the 'new' bucket, putting them in the 'keep' bucket, or
putting them in the 'delete' bucket.
Mozilla uses the 'new/delete' method. As the cookies pile up, this list can get
pretty long. Every time you go in to Cookie Manager, you have to sort through
cookies you've already decided to keep.
