Build 2001040105, Linux 2.4.3 i686, RedHat 6.1, XFree86 4.0.2
Not a 100% reproducible, but the large image on the given page sometimes
renders with horizontal blank lines; click on the image or reloading the
page will make the picture look right.
This problem seems to get even worse when you scroll the page up and down as the
graphics are being loaded...
Happens on Win platform too...

I went through the first two reproduction recepies for bug 73195, but
nothing wrong happened; I think that this is a different bug.
It seems that in all platforms there are some black stripes on the first
rendering of the image (bug #73195) and an horizontal distortion that cannot be
corrected by scrolling/reloading etc. Look at the following attachments (if I
manage to upload them...). The first is the original one. Try to load it on
Mozilla using File->Open File. You will see something similar to the 2nd
attachment.

I'm seeing this on Linux too, with gifs and jpegs. Changing summary to show
that this is distinct from 73195 more clearly. OS -> all based on
doctor_j@hotmal.com's comment.
Blocks: 66967
OS: Linux → All
Summary: Images rendering with horizontal blank lines → Images rendering with thin horizontal white lines

This is not a duplicate of bug 73195!! That one is about GIF files only, this
one applies to GIF and JPEG at least. Please read the bug!

Summary: Images rendering with thin horizontal white lines → Images rendering with thin horizontal white lines (both GIF and JPEG -- not bug 73195)

This happens to PNG images too. This is not GIF or JPEG specific.
I believe this bug IS a symptom of the same problem as bug bug 73195
and its very likely that the fix for the two will be exactly the same,
however, I have to agree with Boris. This bug should be left open. It addresses
the very specific symptom of horizontal gaps (background color, not just white!)
in an image which bug 73195 does not even mention. It just says "corrupt"

what i see (slow modem connection) is that for each little "chunk" of image that
loads in, there's a little pause in rendering. And for each of these pauses, a
new stripe is added. Or rather.. a new stripe is "forgotten rendered as image".
Here the stripe is a pixel high or two high.

a fix for bug 73195 was checked in last night, and today, with build 2001040404
on Windows 95 the symptoms for this bug have dissapeared. I guess this should be
re-duped.

Yes, it really seems to be fine now.
Please reduplicate it.

This does indeed seem to be gone with the 73195 fix. Remarking duplicate. Move
along, nothing to see here anymore. :)
