Note for testing - This applies to B2G, Desktop Firefox, and Fennec Native. Testers - We should draft of a test plan and attach it to this bug for resilience testing with app crashes.

k9o+ as this is a top level requirement in the product plan. However, there are no dependent bugs and I'm not sure there is agreement that this applies to all platforms or even that it should be in scope.
JP - I seem to remember you having an opinion on this.

I do. Not clear to me that this is minimal requirement to go to market.
We have this on desktop firefox (right?) and now fennec, with the recently landed chromeless support. I'm not sure what the status is on B2G though.

We have this on the desktop implementations of WebappRT, though I think that an app running in Firefox (in an app tab or a regular tab) might be able to bring down Firefox (including other app tabs).
Yes, true -- we should clarify this bug. I think it can/should only apply to WebappRT type situations; any "web apps" running in an app tab or similar are no different than just regular web pages, as far as isolation is concerned. Nothing we can do there.
