This is basically the same issue as bug 748803: the autofocus leads to scroll-into-view behavior.

Extremely annoying behavior. I've used the HOSTS file to block malware and ads forever and only now with Firefox 12 is this happening. I would suggest to revert the autofocus behavior that appears to be causing this issue. Given how many "errors" can be caused by blocked content an autofocus doesn't seem intuitive at all.
