when a provider is installed, a persistent background worker is started. How do we inform the user of this, how do we communicate that?

(In reply to Shane Caraveo (:mixedpuppy) from comment #0) > when a provider is installed, a persistent background worker is started. > How do we inform the user of this, how do we communicate that? A dropdown toolbar for the newly installed provider should appear in the toolbar, but especially with similar styling to the other Firefox menus, it may be hard for users to notice a new menu item. Perhaps we could display a subtle glow animation around the newly-installed dropdown menu to make it easier to notice. Exploratory example attached
Do you have any comment on the existing UX using the browser notification bar when a new provider is discovered?

Does the icon come from a manifest location? Can we see a dropdown? What happens if there is more than one provider? How does it look?
