Just running Netscape6.exe in Purify(With Automatic Instrumentation)
crashes with the following stack trace.

The workaround is to activate the profile and then quit and go back to the
purify run.  Adding George Drapeau since Java's in the stack trace.

I activate off of Purify and Re-launched using purify still I am having
this crash.

If you've truly completed activation and didn't cancel it, then activation
shouldn't be involved in this crash.  The stack trace doesn't go far enough to
tell whether it is or not.  What makes you think you're in activation when you
crash?  Did the activation window come up?  (Activation shouldn't be using java
either.)

Just want make it clear. It is NOT happening in Activation.(I have already
activated without purify). Now, the crash seems to be happening in Startup.
I don't know exactly where it is happening. This crash is happening in Release
build(not DEBUG build).

Copying the Java Plug-In folks on this bug; the stack trace indicates that the
crash is happening in the Plug-In, but I don't know why.

You know what else is funky about this stack trace?  That the call stack seems
to go blank in oji.dll and gkplugin.dll.  What's up with that?  Why would Purify
not be able to get info about those?  I don't understand enough about Purify to
answer that kind of question.

Just got a reply from Jim Melvin, saying that he's heard that Purify doesn't
work with Java.  Assuming that's the case, my recommendation is that, when
you're doing Purify runs, take out the Java Plug-In from your build and run with
no Java support.  :-(

HTML Element component is deprecated, and should be removed from Bugzilla.
