Build: 2001-03-26 FizzillaCFM Steps to reproduce: 1) Open two browser windows 2) Click the close button of the inactive window without activating the window first Actual results: The inactive window is closes and most of the menus disappear. (They will reappear after activating another window.) Expected results: Expected the inactive window to close and the menubar to stay unaffected. Additional results: Click-through is described on pages 60-61 in the Aqua HIG (Macworld draft)
yeah, we kinda rely on that activate event. crap.

Branch build 2001-09-07: Mac OSX Additional scenario: 1. Open Navigator 2. Open Mail 3. Select 'File|New Message' and notice it is inactive. 4. Click 'Close' button. Actual results: NO Navigator window, NO Menus - You see only 'Netscape' on top left. Expected results: Navigator window remains. All Menus are presented on the menu bar.
> 2001-09-07: Mac OSX I see there were no respins for 9/07 for osx, so that build had the bug for bug 98732 -- new message compose windows were hosed in that build (ergo, the above comment isn't relevant since all platforms were busted in quirky ways for message compose).
Removing OSX+ since it's a TFV of Moz1.0 and isn't considered a stop ship

Hey pink, do any of your menubar changes fix this?
Good release note item if not fixed.
yes, this is fixed by my pathes to 102204, but no one will sr that bug for me *glaring at smfr* ;) is this something we want to try to get onto the branch?
Depends on: 102204
mike - is this a somewhat low risk fix? If so, I can try to bring this forward to rest of PDT for branch approval. This is fairly important for usability. I wasn't familiar with the shortcuts on the Mac and had no way to bring back my menu. 1. Two windows open 2. Click on the background window's close button on the titlebar 3. Only Netscape menu exists 4. Click on the remaining window. Still only the Netscape menu exists. 5. I had to use cmd+N to bring up a new window and then I got the menus back.
i think the fix is low risk, talk to sfraser and dagley about it. work it out and get back to me ;)

I checked Browser and Mail on branch build 2001-10-08. No problem now. I let assigned QA Contact to change status to 'Verified'.
