Setting the colour, text size, margins should apply to all articles in Reader Mode, not just the one you're reading.
Hmmm, how are you reproducing this issue? The Reader settings (font, margins, color scheme) are saved when you change them and loaded when you start Reader.
I haven't been able to reproduce this either. Madhava might have some more insight into this as he brought it up initially.
