There needs to be a visual cue for when the Social frame is in "developer mode," which is inherently "unsafe" compared to the normal user mode.
Like 766622, this should also be in Chrome to prevent it being emulated by content. This is part of/came out of discussion of threat #9 on the wiki and probably deserves it's own threat, but definitely deserves it's own bug.

I don't think we're going to be adding "developer mode". Can re-open if we decide to do something like that.

This came from the secreview - we had discussed it for letting devs build for socialapi more easily from a purely local dev environment.
I am all for it, as it will definitley help adoption and make it easier to test. Is there a way to put it on the future roadmap?
