update: windows trunk 0502 , shockwave 8.5 plugin . I see a crasher with same stack trace when it is loading the tank wars game or when I click the PLAY button in "sports|basketball" game. Happens randomly- sometimes game loads, sometimes crashes. maybe realted with 76771

resummarizing. No error messages seen today, just crashing hard a lot of times.

Shrir, what exactly is the bug here? I just the test url and not only does it not crash but it does what it's supposed to. Works great!

i tried some new games on shockwave.com on my windows box ( loop, basketball). the shockwave plugin is n 4.x folder (8.5). I do not have the plugin on my 6.x. on windows, i am just crashing while these games load. On 0507 mac, I sitl see the weird error messages of script error and stuff(and sometimes the games load). But definitely not working on wnidows. Pls retry laoding the same game 3-4 times and you should crash too.

Is this Mac only then? I can't get it to crash on Windows in today's build with the 8.0 plugin. What URL are you trying? Reloading the above testcase does cause Shockwave to "freeze" for a bit in the blue loading page but left alone for a bit, it eventually recovers and works. Shrir, can you attach the Mozilla part of the stack or is that all of it? If that's all of it, without any calls to Mozilla, it's going to be very hard to track down without Macromedia's help.

this is not mac only (have seen the crashes on mac too on earlier builds), and I have the 8.5 plugin on both platforms (in 4.x folder). I am going to retest tomorrow on different windows and mac boxes and see verify this. The stack trace is all I get, nothing significant comes up. Games on other websites work pretty well, nothing crashes with the same build,same plugin.

I filed bug 81052 for crashing on mac whileloading shockwave.com. Due to that problem, I cannot even navigate the site. Leaving this open and marking dependency.

taking my time to confirm that this is definitely fixed. Looks great on windows and mac (based on the testing coverage i have made). No crash seen till now. Will do more testing and then mark verified...
