Varada, do you still see this?
Target Milestone: mozilla0.9.7 → mozilla0.9.9
I am pretty sure I have fixed that last week.
Asking Sheela to see if this is still a problem.
Commercial build: 2001-11-26-06 win98.
I attached a jpg file and while send was in progress I cancelled send. I did see
temp files not cleaned up when you abort send. This bug still exists.
Nominating this bug so that this can get fixed. Or else we can easily fill up
the space especially when there are large attachments to the messages.

Summary: Need to delete temp files when aborting send → Need to delete temp files when aborting (cancelling) send
Target Milestone: mozilla1.2alpha → ---
linux tbird trunk 2008051514: send created /tmp/nsemail.eml, cancel left it there; send again created no new temp file, cancel left the temp file in place; closing compose window deleted it. The temp file is not reusable for the second try (different date at least) so it's regenerated, so I suppose it should have been deleted already at cancel.

Looks like this could be fixed by bug 235432. Please reopen if you still see it (new temp files left behind).
