Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:15.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/15.0 Build ID: 20120731150526 Steps to reproduce: Surfed ON the internet. With a real surfboard, n such, like everyone else. Actual results: Suddenly, random sync error came up, blocking sync. Restarting firefox or pc didn't solve it. When I click on "Preferences...", I can click on "Update", "Reset" and "Unlink this Device". Once I click on "Update" it says "Your Password was rejected by the server, please enter a new password.". Entering a new password gives out an error. Entering my old password, results in an error too. If I go to "Reset" and type in my login name + password, this comes up: Error, blablabla, some Elephant got shot. etc. etc. If you want to report a sighting, please make sure to use their id tag: f248f782c360f8e6f57e6d6616e9f0c0. Thanks! I'm using the newest Firefox Beta. Expected results: Sync should've synced my stuff like always.

Johann, Sorry this got lost in the shuffle. Could you provide a sync log? https://philikon.wordpress.com/2011/06/13/how-to-file-a-good-sync-bug/
It's okay now. It stopped with its weird behavior since Firefox 17 Beta. Consider this bug report as fixed.
Guess that means this is a dupe…

This just happened to me again, now on Firefox 24. What did I do? I started Firefox, and it said there was a sync error, invalid username or password. I go to Prefs->Sync and click Update, put in my password...and it says I typed in the wrong password... ...AND IT FORCES ME TO CHANGE MY PASSWORD. ON EVERYTHING. What is this?! This happened to me back in May with the version of Firefox that was current then. Whatever this bug is, it is NOT fixed.
