Katakai san, can you reproduce this?
I'll try to build the latest tree with Xlib enabling.
Attached image snapshot (deleted) —
It seems that the display is correct on my environment. See the attachment. timeless, can you provide the exact build option?
ac_add_options --without-gtk ac_add_options --with-xlib ac_add_options --enable-toolkit=xlib ac_add_options --enable-ultrasparc ac_add_options --disable-tests ac_add_options --with-libIDL-prefix=/tmp/idl/ mk_add_options MOZ_OBJDIR=@TOPSRCDIR@/../obj-@CONFIG_GUESS@
I tried the binary built with the option of timeless but it displays properly on my environment. I'm using Solaris 8 u3 both ja and C locale. timeless, it seems that you use X server on Windows, right? How about when you use the *native* Solaris desktop?
Katakai san, please help this Solaris specific issue, thanks.

timeless, I want to know the result when you use the *native* Solaris desktop. Thanks.

Arg, that's _so_ much harder :( ... i'll try to get a build started ~4am and then check out the results before dinner when I can visit a lab box. [As mentioned in another bug, x-win32 is even worse than mix]
Changing QA contact to katakai@japan.sun.com.

This doesn't happen w/ the X server installed on the lab boxes. Although I do get the following: === cannot get lang group for jis_0201 === cannot get lang group for jis_0201 === cannot get lang group for jis_0201 === cannot get lang group for jis_0201 === cannot get lang group for jis_0201 === cannot get lang group for jis_0201 === cannot get lang group for jis_0201 === cannot get lang group for jis_0201 === cannot get lang group for jis_0201 === cannot get lang group for ISO-8859-3 === cannot get lang group for ISO-8859-3 === cannot get lang group for ISO-8859-3 === cannot get lang group for ISO-8859-3 === cannot get lang group for ISO-8859-3 === cannot get lang group for ISO-8859-3 === cannot get lang group for ISO-8859-3 Xsun version number: 11.0 vendor string: Sun Microsystems, Inc. vendor release number: 3610 dimensions: 1280x1024 pixels (361x288 millimeters) resolution: 90x90 dots per inch depths (3): 1, 8, 24

I understand x-win32 has own font lints in x-win32 side. How about when you put the same fonts into x-win32? Does this solve this problem?
what is x-win32 ?
http://www.starnet.com/products/ it's an x server for windows. right now i'm ahving build problems so i'll have to get back to this later :(.

Does this problem still exist ?
No response for nearly 6 years, and to the best of my knowledge the build options in comment 6 are no longer supported anyway...
