Details

The work in bug 533460 enabled custom panels/windows to be used as drag/drop feedback images. However, they don't really work in Linux, because the drag operation gets cancelled once the panel is opened. This bug blocks the fixing of bug 674925.

Neither of those bugs are about panels. Bug 863512 fixed the remaining linux issue here.
